PRESENTATION SKILLS FOR BUSINESS STUDIES STUDENTS
The four-hour interactive workshop is based on acquiring public speaking skills and includes the usual presentation preparation checklist and some intense training on voice projection, stage presence, audience engagement … the difference is the underlying lesson which is to think of yourself as a story-teller. We explore the creation of a presentation as a story to be refined and narrated as it would be by a professional story-teller, with any slides added after the narrative, purely as illustrations. The benefits of this approach are quite astonishing in some cases, and well-received by everyone we have worked with so far.
DRAMATISATION WORKSHOP (4 HOURS)
The purpose of the workshop is to enable students to create and perform a short play based on a traditional story. It lasts approximately four hours. We can come to your school. The workshop is conducted by professional story-teller Mike Dodsworth, www.mikedodsworth.com
DRAMA AND LITERACY SKILLS SHORT COURSE (16 HOURS)
The primary purpose of this series of four workshops is to enable students to create and perform a short play based on a traditional story while providing opportunities to exercise various literacy skills. It lasts approximately sixteen hours imparted over four days. There may be scope for a short (four days/three nights) residential course depending on dates and numbers.
CREATIVE WRITING SHORT COURSE (16 HOURS)
